Oh no – Not another article written about the Covid -19 Pandemic! I know this is an issue that is forefront on everyone’s mind currently, as well as severely impacting business across the US. But I would like to provide a little different take on the subject during this trying time; that we all should exercise a little patience with our families, friends, employees, vendors, and especially with our customers.
Many of these enterprises are really suffering and we are not privy to everyone’s particular plight that they may be experiencing at this time. A good many of these groups are currently fighting to stay in business. We owe it to everyone to display care and empathy for their situation and help them in any way we can to get through this difficult time.
It is important to reset our expectations of service delivery without sacrificing customer care with the shelter in place orders, work from home recommendations and the new normal of teleworking. This is a challenge for business owners and employees, but not insurmountable, with the right process, service, tools – and setting proper expectations.
Let’s all take a deep breath and give our best effort to practice consideration for each other’s situation. A little patience will go a long way in getting through this economic shutdown together.
Hopefully, it will not be long before we will get back to some resemblance and level of normalcy. What we do during this troublesome time will definitely be reflected and impacted going forward with our customers and with the future potential business they will need.
Slow down, have patience AND pay it forward.
